There is a quote about eating alphabet soup and then going to the WC. But I will refrain from using it in this case. Me, I'm a traditionalist, and a poem is all about rhyme, all of the time, except in Country & Western songs, where it is too freaking obvious, or, the language is bent to fit the rhyme, example "Down the street I did go", or "To him I did say". B*lloc*s, nobody talks like that, even in sh1tkickerville.
BTW, it's spelt Poem.
I spelt it 'poem', it was poetry I mistyped.
You'll notice "To be pedantic" isn't in the poem.
The poem only doesn't rhyme if you have a Monaghan accent.
Agreeing with ya, I do be doing on the C&W songs.
